The group behind Fiteg²

Fiteg² is part of Agrova, a European agri-food group working across egg production, processing, egg proteins and functional nutrition ingredients.

With roots in a Latvian production facility established in 1961, Agrova brings agricultural experience into modern food development. Its operations connect feed and farming with processing and consumer products.

For Fiteg², that connection is the starting point: take an ingredient we know well and find useful ways to bring it into everyday routines.

From farming to everyday nutrition

Farming

Agrova’s production roots include Alūksne Poultry Farm in Latvia. The group also includes the UK’s Sunrise business, acquired in 2025.

Processing

Egg grading, sorting and egg-mass production connect farm output with the needs of food manufacturers and other customers.

Distribution

Agrova supplies retail, foodservice and industrial partners, bringing eggs and egg products to customers across European markets.

Nutrition

Fiteg² brings egg ingredients into protein powders, bars and food supplements designed for daily use.

Why eggs?

Eggs combine culinary versatility with useful nutrients. They can be part of breakfast, lunch or dinner—and part of a varied diet that includes vegetables, whole grains and other protein sources.

Complete protein

Egg protein provides all nine essential amino acids. These are amino acids the body needs to obtain from food.

More than protein

Whole eggs also provide choline, vitamin A and biotin, alongside the pigments lutein and zeaxanthin.

Different parts. Different possibilities.

The white

Egg white is the starting point for Fiteg² protein powders. Drying it creates an ingredient that is convenient to use in shakes and recipes.

The yolk

The yolk brings richness to cooking and contains much of the whole egg’s fat and many of its micronutrients. Whole eggs and egg white powders have different nutritional profiles.

The membrane

The thin layer inside the shell supplies the egg membrane ingredients used in Fiteg² collagen supplements. It is a different ingredient from egg white protein.

The bigger idea

Looking beyond a single use helps reveal the egg’s potential—from familiar foods to specialised nutrition ingredients.

Making more of our resources

Fiteg² sources its egg ingredients from cage-free eggs and aims to use as much of the egg as possible.

Across Agrova, resource recovery is also part of future development. Agrova Energy is a project under development intended to turn farm by-products into energy and organic fertilisers.

The ambition is to connect food production with more efficient resource use, step by step.

Egg-based products contain egg allergens. Check each product’s ingredients and suitability. Food supplements do not replace a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.

A few things worth knowing

Are eggs dairy?

No. Eggs are not milk products and naturally contain no lactose. Egg allergy and milk allergy are different, so check the full ingredient list of any finished product.

Does cage-free mean free-range?

No. Cage-free means hens are not housed in cages. It does not by itself mean they have access outdoors.

Are brown eggs more nutritious than white eggs?

Shell colour alone does not make an egg more nutritious. It is largely determined by the hen’s breed.

Is an egg white powder the same as a whole egg?

No. A powder made from egg whites has a different composition from an egg containing both white and yolk. Choose the format that fits your recipe and nutritional needs.
